Prasoon Kumar brings to his role as CEO of billionBRICKS his passion for problem solving, and creating socially equitable and environmentally conscious structures that play an essential role in poverty alleviation.
He founded billionBRICKS which is a non-profit organization that envisions a world where no one is homeless, and everyone has
access to opportunities for economic and social upliftment. It aims to improve the quality of life of the homeless in high growth urban areas through design, architecture and technology. Moreover, it is committed to a better built environment believing that empowering communities with innovative and replicable housing solutions can solve homelessness and create lasting impact. Currently, they are engaged in projects in India, Cambodia, Malaysia and Nepal.
Prasoon graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and an Outstanding Graduate Award for year 2005. He has a Bachelors in Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture, India, and is an urban planner and architect by profession with over 10 years of work experience in India, USA, Hong Kong and Singapore.
