Over the last 25 years, Mr. Collins has been at the forefront of the Canadian telecommunication deregulation and the high-end software development industry.
Throughout his career he also gained extensive experience in holding senior management positions in portfolio investment management and in corporate finance.
In the course of his career
he has led companies with presence in North America and the European market. He also led the restructuring, sales and acquisitions of Canadian and U.S. companies. He raised private equity and has participated in two initial public offerings.
At the forefront of telecommunications deregulation, Mr. Collins co-founded a telecommunications company. He later joined Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec as the Founding President of Capital Communications. Mr. Collins participated in the creation of the first national Competitive Local Exchange Carrier.
After the successful sale of the first national CLEC, Mr. Collins shared as President and CEO its operational, financial and strategic knowledge with fast-growing companies in the areas of cable television, software development and geomatics.
Mr. Collins graduated from the University of Montreal. He has a B.A. in mathematics and computer science. He has been an active member of private and public Canadian companies’ boards of directors. Mr. Collins is a founding partner of BC2 Tactique Inc.
