Prior to becoming Velolock’s CEO, Philipp joined the company as VP of Business Development shortly after it won the 2013 TechCrunch Disrupt Cup in London with Lock8. Backed by Otto Capital, Horizon Ventures, Pascal Cagni (C4 Ventures) and Atlantic Internet, the company has established operations in San Francisco, CA and Berlin, Germany.
With 14
years of experience in business development, Philipp started his career in project finance as a hands-on consultant in turnaround situations in the early 2000s. During his career prior to Velolock, he learned to apply his passion for working in challenging environments and multi-disciplinary teams, both in old and new economy companies.
Philipp studied French and Law at the University of Surrey and speaks English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. He is an avid cyclist, traveler, surfer, and passionate conservationist.
