Peter Westmacott joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1972 and served in numerous countries and senior positions ranging from Deputy Private Secretary to HRH The Prince of Wales to Ambassador to Turkey (2002-06), France (2007-12) and the United States (2012-16) before retiring in 2016. Peter is a Distinguished Ambassadorial Fellow at the
Atlantic Council, an Advisory Director of Campbell Lutyens and sits on Ernst & Young’s UK Independent Non-Executive Oversight Committee. Peter has a deep knowledge and understanding of global and national level diplomacy and politics.
