Peter Vogel is an entrepreneur, entrepreneurship trainer, and scholar. He is the founder and president of HR Matching AG, a VC-backed Red Herring Europe Top 100 winner. He currently works at the University of St. Gallen as researcher and managing director of the Center for Entrepreneurship. He received his PhD in entrepreneurship and technology
commercialization from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, where he investigated government programs that help unemployed transition to self-employment.
As the youngest partner of the Futurework Forum, Peter is actively involved in teaching and consulting on international labor market issues. He is a coach and consultant at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (Saudi Arabia) and has various other similar mandates. His most recent project, The Entrepreneurs’ Ship, aims at fostering entrepreneurship as a viable career option in areas where high levels of youth unemployment or difficult employment situations leave little room for individuals with high ambitions.
Peter is think-tank member of the World Entrepreneurship Forum, member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community, and the Sandbox Network. He has been speaking at TEDxLausanne, the G20 Youth Forum and other international conferences on the topics of youth unemployment and entrepreneurship. Peter is currently writing a book with the title: “Generation Jobless? Turning the Youth Unemployment Crisis into Opportunity”.
