Peter co-founded Arcus in 1998. He is a noted commentator on Japanese financial affairs and writes for numerous publications including the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal Asia. Fluent in Japanese, Peter was previously a market strategist at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where Institutional Investor rated him the #1 ranked strategist for 3
consecutive years; he was similarly ranked by the Nikkei for 5 consecutive years. He is the author of several books on Japan, is a long-term resident of Japan and has served as a non-executive director of a listed Japanese retailer. He graduated from Balliol College (Oxford University) with MA in English in 1976 and studied Law.
