As Chief People Officer, Peter is accountable for ensuring the tight linkage between business strategy and people strategy – a remit which extends to advancing external education initiatives in the rapidly evolving ad tech space. MediaMath’s success has been largely attributable to our unique inventive culture being populated with unusually bright,
dedicated, and fun people. To help protect and promote that culture, Peter has led the codification of a set of Math Values, guiding principles for all people decisions. A big part of Peter’s job is to ensure that employee behaviors that embody Scalable Innovation, Performance, Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment are recognized and celebrated.
MediaMath has achieved a great many industry firsts and is in a constant state of innovation. To help ensure the company remains nimble, Peter created and maintains a flexible human capital infrastructure – always facilitating clear internal communication and employee career mobility – and never getting in the way. The background that has prepared Peter to provide innovative people solutions includes bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business/Management from University College Dublin, senior HR roles within Bloomberg, Publicis Groupe and WPP, and an ability to articulate a clear people management vision that has led to dozens of publications (e.g. HR Magazine, Washington Post, Wealth Manager).
Some very proud moments for Peter were MediaMath’s being named # 6 in the U.S. (# 2 in NYC) in Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Best Places To Work 2014 (Mid-Size Company Category), the global headcount having grown three-fold in his first 2.5 years with MediaMath, and the roll-out of our ground-breaking Marketing Engineer Program.
In his spare time Peter enjoys comedy writing and performing stand-up.
