Peter has a Master of Business Administration from Charles Sturt University specialising in International Human Resource Management. With more than 25 years’ experience, Peter has worked predominantly in the construction and mining sectors with blue-chip corporations including Leighton Contractors and Bechtel Corporation.
Peter’s international
experience includes project oversight in more than 20 countries including the United States. He is recognised for his expertise in driving continuous improvement and consistently challenging the status quo to empower people and deliver step changes in behaviour. He was appointed Executive General Manager of People Safety and Environment at Thiess in November 2011 and assumed the new role of Executive General Manager Support Resources in August 2014. His responsibilities include HR, Health and Safety, Environment, ICT, Communication and Facilities Management across the company’s global mining operations.
