Peter Mombaur is a Managing Director of Tana Africa Capital. Previously, he was a Managing Director of Africa Holdings, an investment fund of E. Oppenheimer & Son International. Prior to this, Mombaur spent over six years in Nigeria, where he, among other things, successfully managed the post-merger integration of UBA and Standard Trust Bank,
the first merger in the Nigerian Banking industry; served as interim Managing Director of a B2B telecommunications company; and was closely involved in the set-up of the Nigerian e-banking industry. Mombaur was a McKinsey & Company Consultant in the Johannesburg office, with extensive work across Africa, including East Africa.
