With over 20 years of experience in the fields of Mechatronics and Robotics, Mr. Meusel is the co-founder and CEO of Wessling Robotics GmbH. He holds a Diplom Ingenieur degree in Electrical Engineering from the Giesen University of Applied Science. Prior to founding Wessling Robotics, Mr. Meusel was a key member of the team that designed the
DLR/Kuka Light-weight robot (LWR). His contribution to the patented force-torque sensor used on the LWR helped realized its high level of dexterity, which is still the standard for dexterous robots around the world. Mr. Meusel current primary interests are in the design of dexterous robotic hands for different applications ranging from research platforms to prosthetic designs.
