Mr. McLaughlin has 23 years of experience in loan origination, structuring, underwriting and investing experience across both debt and equity markets.
Prior to joining CIFC, Mr. McLaughlin was the Head of Originations for Longroad Asset Management, an operations oriented private equity firm focused on special situations in the middle market.
Preceding Longroad, Mr. McLaughlin was with Gottex Fund Management where he led loan origination for the firm’s middle market private debt fund. Prior to joining Gottex in 2008, Mr. McLaughlin was Director of Originations at Contrarian Capital Finance, LP where he managed relationships for PE Groups, Middle Market Businesses, Investment Banks, Debt Funds and commercial banks across the U.S and Europe. Mr. McLaughlin joined Goldentree Asset Management in 2005 where he was a Senior Officer in the Firm’s Capital Solutions Group. Earlier in his career, he held various positions at Wells Fargo Foothill, Crowe Capital and J.P. Morgan.
Mr. McLaughlin received a B.A. from the Colorado College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
