More than 18 years ago my IT Career started at Citrix. Hard to imagine today, but in those days there was still a Startup culture at Citrix. It was the best
learning place imaginable for an IT rookie. Today I am still using the knowledge I gained and network that I've builded in the 6 years that I was at Citrix.
The next startup that I joined was Finjan. Although I learned a lot from my colleagues in the Netherlands and Israel, the security space wasn't the right place for me, so after 2 years I decided to leave the company.
At Novell I had a great time because of the people that I worked with. Unfortunately, despite of the great team we had, we could not turn around the downward trend that Novell was in.
Then one of my old Citrix friends, Erwin Kruk, had joined the Dutch startup Immidio and asked me to join. It was the start of a great 5-year ride that ended in January 2015 with the best exit imaginable: acquisition by VMware.
The acquisition by VMware offered me the opportunity to start a startup myself together with two other associates. The network that I have build over the last 15 years and the experience and knowledge that I have build up are very valuable today. We have launched Liquit in June 2015 and the future looks very very promising. We have already won a few very nice customers who just love our solution.
