Peter Gorges is co-founder of cloud-based music service UJAM and focussed on driving musical innovation and strategy within the company.
German-born, Gorges has a long-term background in music technology. Between 1987 and 1997 he pursued multiple professions: professional keyboardist/arranger; author of music technology books; main reviewer
of german KEYBOARDS magazine as well as co-developer, consultant and sound designer for various major MI hard- and software manufacturers.
In 1997 he founded his own company Wizoo, teamed up with leading music software manufacturer Steinberg later and pioneered the field of "virtual instruments".
In late 2003 oscar-winning film composer Hans Zimmer became a shareholder in Wizoo. 2006 the company got acquired by US-based Avid Technology for 6 Mio $. Gorges stayed on in an executive role. He left Avid in March 2009 to join forces with Hans Zimmer and producer/performer Pharrell Williams to start what eventually became UJAM.
