Peter joined the Drucker Institute after nine years at Mattel, Inc., where he focused on brand strategy, product development, and the creation and execution of consumer marketing plans. Most recently, he served for three years as the Global Brand Director for the Disney Girls portfolio of toys, which includes Disney Princess, the television series
Sofia the First, and the theatrical phenomenon Frozen.
He managed the multi-category license for Toy Story during the launch of the movie Toy Story 3 in 2010. During this time, he and his team won Toy Licensee of the Year from Disney Consumer Products and Toy of the Year in the UK. In his prior work at Mattel, Peter helped grow the Barbie brand internationally to encompass more than two thirds of the global Barbie business.
He also had the honor of leading international marketing for the Barbie 50th Anniversary Celebration, which involved a year-long slate of events around the world including: runway fashion shows, a museum exhibit in Australia, and partnerships with Jonathan Adler, Fiat, and Kartell. While in the Marketing Leadership Program at Ford Motor Company, Peter won the Inuksuk Award for leadership and diversity. He also spent several years in account management at advertising agency FCB (now Draft FCB), where his clients included AT&T, Cardinal Health and WebRN.
Peter’s professional career began in the mailroom of Alltech Biotechnology’s marketing department, where he worked his way up to Brand Manager for a variety of products in nutrition. Peter earned his MBA, with a concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, from UCLA Anderson, and his B.A. in Psychology and Pre-Professional Studies from The University of Notre Dame.
