Peter brings over a dozen years of emerging growth company investment experience to NXT Capital Venture Finance and has specialized in the life science and healthcare venture capital markets since 2001.
Previously, Peter was a Partner at Velocity Financial Group. Since joining the NXT platform, he has led investments in Digital Chocolate,
ate, Estech, Pinnacle Biologics, ReCellular, SkyCross, InnoPharma, Cayenne Medical and CliniPace.
Peter also served as a Director with TriplePoint Capital, where he worked on financing emerging life sciences companies; as a Principal with Telegraph Hill Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focusing exclusively on the life science, healthcare and med-tech markets; and as VP of Business Development for United Emergency Services, a venture-backed healthcare services company that was sold to EDCare.
Peter began his venture capital career as an Associate with The Aurora Funds, a Research Triangle Park-based firm where he specialized in early-stage life science investment opportunities. His experience also includes working as a Senior Consultant with Deloitte’s middle market consulting group and its advisory practice, where he focused on post-acquisition integration and M&A due diligence engagements.
Peter earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania and graduated cum laude with a degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University, where he was a member of the school’s varsity rifle team. Peter and his wife have two children. His hobbies include wilderness activities and fly-fishing.
