Peter Bubel is a property manager, an advocate for affordable housing, a mentor, a community leader, and a proud father. Peter earned his Bachelor’s degree in finance from Penn State University and went on to earn his MBA in financial management from St. Joseph’s University as well as his post-MBA certificate in management. His education gave him
the preparation he needed to purchase his first property in 1989, only to go on and open his own property management company in 1996 in Reading, Pa. He named his business PANA Rentals, an anagram of each family member’s name. Peter Bubel has spent the past 20 years getting to know the Reading community intimately as he strives to uphold its high standards for entrepreneurship and education. As a managing member at PANA Rentals, Peter assists people as they move through the rental process. Through PANA Rentals, he deals with everything from residential renting to commercial property management to student housing, particularly housing for students attending Penn State at the Berks Campus. Peter currently owns and manages between 50 and 100 properties in Berks County, Pa. and he uses his extensive financial and business background to deal with the logistics of renting while stressing the necessity of tenant-property manager communication.
Alongside assisting those who are looking to rent, Peter also aides other property managers in marketing their available real estate and searching for suitable tenants. Since he knows every rental process is unique, Peter Bubel offers various services through PANA Rentals which include showing properties, negotiating lease terms, assisting property managers with their finances, coordinating necessary maintenance, and so much more. Peter loves using his knowledge to help his clients turn their real estate dreams into reality, and he takes pride in working through his company to help anyone and everyone; Peter is always willing to go the extra mile to assist his tenants and fellow property managers.
Peter Bubel founded PANA Rentals to address a need he saw that existed in his community. He puts his specialized knowledge of the Reading community along with his tenured skills within the world of property management and real estate investment to help make sure his neighbors have the support and the resources they need. One aspect of his work through PANA Rentals that Peter particularly enjoys is his ability to provide advisory services to those in need. Through PANA, Peter Bubel is able to bring a number of his passions together in order to provide services that are unique in their approach to each tenant. Peter especially loves to help first-time home renters, using his educational background in finance to provide information on investing. He pulls in his knowledge from his seasoned career in human resources to help build relationships and problem-solve as needed. Finally, he uses his skills in marketing to help match owners and landlords best market their properties to find the right potential tenants.
Outside of work, Peter Bubel is a highly involved member of his community. He supports local and affordable housing projects and is an advocate for low-income and student housing. He has served on numerous housing committees and coalitions, and is an active participant in several local initiatives including the Berks Minority Development Council (MINDCO), and the Housing Advisory task force for the city of Reading. Peter is the current vice president of the Reading-Berks Habitat for Humanity chapter and has previously served as president, during which time he supervised the completion of over 30 low-income houses. He has mentored at the local elementary school, given lectures at various colleges, served on the board of Goodwill Industries of the Keystone Area, and is a current board member for the Berks Chamber of Commerce. As a man of faith, Peter is also actively involved in the community of his church, St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in West Lawn, Pa., where he works with the stewardship and budgeting committees.
Peter Bubel also loves to stay active, and is passionate about fitness getting his exercise through his weekly tennis matches. Because Peter is so passionate about helping his community and aiding those in need, he knows he must first take care of his body so that he is able to help others. Living in Reading, Pennsylvania offers Peter Bubel a number of beautiful trails and hiking paths that he can use to step out of the city and back into nature. He loves taking walks and enjoying all that Pennsylvania has to offer with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
When he’s able, Peter Bubel also loves to travel. Luckily for him, there is a wealth of beautiful and scenic destinations to visit right here in Pennsylvania. Many of these destinations, including the iconic pagoda, are right in his backyard of Reading. There are also locations like Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic falling house, the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, Amish Country, and any of the countless sights to see in Philadelphia. While Peter Bubel is Pennsylvania born and raised, and although he loves his home state, his love for travel extends far beyond its borders. He loves to travel anywhere in the United States and enjoys soaking up the food, culture, and atmosphere of each new place he visits.
Peter Bubel is also an avid fan of Pennsylvania sports teams, which comes as no surprise seeing where he's lived his whole life. When it comes to football, his team is the Eagles, and during baseball season she's always cheering on the Phillies. Of course, living in Reading, Peter also cheers for his local community-based teams as well. Reading's minor league baseball team, The Fightin' Phils, hold 4 league and 4 division titles, and The Reading Royals, the local professional ice hockey team.
