With more than 25 years of experience, Peter is responsible for managing global operations and expansion of the QualysGuard global SaaS infrastructure, overseeing its worldwide security operation centers (SOCs) . Peter comes to Qualys from iPass, where as VP of Network Operations and Engineering, he successfully grew and managed an international
team of 200 engineers and operations personnel, managed enterprise security, and built a world-class network with 10 international data centers and endpoints in over 160 countries. At iPass, Peter also built a new engineering team to work on a project that ultimately became the company's flagship product, the iPass Open Mobile Platform – a cloud-based service helping enterprises efficiently manage mobility devices and services for employees. Prior to iPass, Peter was the Operations Architect for General Magic on one of the first true SaaS implementations, the Portico service, which provided a virtual assistant and unified communications for the mobile professional. Having grown up in Silicon Valley, Peter joined his first start-up at age 16 managing databases, and by age 19, had cofounded Opus Software, a successful gaming company producing software bundled with hardware for MacIntosh computers.
