Mr. Williams comes to Freedom Meditech with more than 15 years of experience in startup environments, leading multi-disciplinary teams in development, manufacturing and launch of Class II and Class III medical diagnostic and therapeutic devices.
As the VP of Engineering at Oculir, Inc., Mr. Williams led development of the company's
first-generation laboratory system to measure glucose non-invasively in the human eye.
Prior to Oculir, as Director of Engineering at DexCom, Inc., Mr. Williams led development of the world's first long-term implantable glucose sensor. He guided the project through three generations of prototypes, animal and human testing, and FDA approval.
Mr. Williams holds and M.S. in Fluid Mechanics and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, both from Oklahoma State University.
