Paul Mellinger co-founded Twin Haven in November 2009 and is a Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of the Special Opportunities Funds. From 2001 to 2009, Mr. Mellinger served as a Principal and Portfolio Manager of the SOP Funds at Pequot Capital. Prior to Pequot Capital, Mr. Mellinger served as a Senior Vice President of Pacific Capital
Group (“PCG”) where his responsibilities included the identification, evaluation and consummation of new private equity investments, with a focus on distressed and other special situations, as well as oversight responsibility for a number of portfolio companies. During the last four months of his tenure at PCG, Mr. Mellinger concurrently served as Vice President for Global Crossing where he focused on distressed situations in the telecommunications sector. Prior to PCG, Mr. Mellinger served as the Chief Financial Officer of Livent, Inc. and prior to that he was a Senior Manager in KMPG, LLP’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice. While at KPMG, LLP, Mr. Mellinger also served in KPMG’s Strategic Consulting and Audit practices. Mr. Mellinger graduated cum laude with a B.S. in accounting from Pepperdine University and was formerly a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Mellinger currently serves on the Board of Directors of Impresa Holdings Acquisition Corporation.
