Paul founded Realvest Corporation in 1969 with the goal of focusing on the management and development of larger housing complexes. Mr. Christensen was the sales manager for U-Cart Concrete Systems before starting Realvest. Mr. Christensen holds a Bachelor of Theology and a Bachelor of Philosophy from the University of Washington, as well as a
Bachelor of Theology from the Episcopal Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California. Mr. Christensen, a licensed instrument-rated pilot, flew a single-engine plane around the world in 1977. In both Washington and Oregon, he is a licensed real estate broker. Mr. Christensen is a member of the Identity Clark County, Fort Vancouver National Trust, and Vancouver Symphony Orchestra boards of directors. He is the founder and former head of the Hough Foundation, which was founded in 1992 to help Hough Elementary School and the surrounding community. Mr. Christensen was named Vancouver's First Citizen in 1998 as a consequence of his vision and community leadership.
