When I left the Netherlands at the age of 17, my goal was to work and travel, so I could learn languages and experience different cultures.
Having lived in the Canary Islands, Greek Islands, Australia, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Costa del Sol, London, Israel, Panama and now Mallorca, I can truly say that I have loved seeing the many
cultures and learning from the people I've met along the way.
After working for a company for about 9 years I founded my first company, Spanish Living Group, and founded several others since. Not all companies were successful, but that's a lesson an entrepreneur needs to learn too. It's always hard work and starting a company from scratch comes with many hurdles, but the satisfaction is 2nd to none, when it does become a success.
One of our current activities is Max Ventures, which is a co-working space and incubator/accelerator, and we give free advice and mentorship to starting entrepreneurs. At times we will also invest in interesting startups.
