In the distant past Patrick studied fluid dynamics, and has worked on parallel computing, large-scale data analysis, visualization, predictive modeling, and stochastic optimization techniques, but ultimately he's a
problem solver who wants to understand how things work. In the rare moments when he's not working or chauffeuring his kids around, he enjoys running, making, skiing and gaming.
