Patrick K. Sullivan founded Oceanit in 1985, a self-funded research and development technology incubator that today employs over 160 scientists, engineers and professionals, providing innovative solutions in the fields of aerospace, engineering, information technology and life sciences. Oceanit’s more than $250M in funding has created cutting-edge
innovations in the fields of aerospace, bio-photonics, neurotoxin detection and optics, as well as technology for missile defense, managing space debris and environmental applications that are the subject of numerous reports, patents and research programs.
Patrick Sullivan has extensive experience on boards and commissions, including former board seats on the Ocean Research Advisory Panel (appointed by the Secretary of the Navy), Parker Ranch and the High Technology Development Corporation. Current directorships include Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, Nanopoint, Inc., and Hoana Medical, Inc. He is also a member of the Military Affairs Council. Patrick Sullivan has extensive experience developing nationally focused research programs, such as the National Defense Center of Excellence for Research in Ocean Sciences (CEROS), and the National Electric Vehicle Demonstration program, both collaborations with DARPA.
Patrick Sullivan serves as the honorary consul of Indonesia and received his BS in Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his PhD in Engineering from the University of Hawaii.
