Patrick Ribardiere is a senior director of product management for the Connectivity Business Unit of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. In this role, he oversees product management and leads the Wi-Fi and network processor adoption for the company’s Enterprise Carrier Solutions for the EMEA region.
Ribardiere has played a key role in the 11ac wave 2
adoption among service providers within Europe, and is a key influencer on all carrier connectivity and network processors aspects of the strategy within Qualcomm. Under Ribardiere’s leadership, Qualcomm Technologies significantly expanded its European market share and secured key designs from both tier one OEMs and European service providers.
Ribardiere joined Qualcomm Technologies through the Atheros acquisition in 2011. At Atheros, Ribardiere led product management for the carrier business, and oversaw the worldwide outbound carrier marketing activities. Prior to Atheros and over the previous 12 years, he held several increasingly important product management and product marketing leadership roles, where he built his expertise in the wireless and mobile phone industry and defined system solutions for 2G and 3G cellular phones for companies like Philips, Skyworks, Silicon labs, NXP and ST microelectronics.
Ribardiere started his career in power electronics, he holds a patent introducing a novel power distribution architecture in large aircrafts and has contributed to several research papers on AC to DC and DC to DC power conversion in systems of several kilowatts.
Ribardiere earned a master’s degree in science from The Grenoble Institute of Technology in Grenoble, Rhône-Alpes, France.
