Patrick Morin, the founder and president of Startup Food Biz, is also a food lawyer and social activist. In addition to focusing on his food and beverage business clients, he works with food-focused community organizations such as Food Lab and Eastern Market in Detroit and Roux Carre and Fund 17 in New Orleans, helping members pro bono. Prior to
becoming a lawyer, Patrick served as an officer in the U.S. Marines Corps and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He currently lives in New Orleans with his wife and three children.
