Patrick Leong is the key designer of multiple successful telecom and network analyzer products that have generated substantial revenues over the years. Prior to joining Gigamon, he was a Principal Engineer at Ciena (starting with Cyras before it was acquired), where he lead the engineering efforts in developing the company’s metro data products.
Patrick also performed technical due diligence for Ciena in acquisition and partnering. Before Ciena, Patrick was the Manager of High Speed Products at the Sniffer Division of Network Associates, where he was in charge of the development of WAN and Gigabit Ethernet Sniffers. A physicist by training, Patrick understands a broad range of technologies and has a track record of taking products from inception to market in a timely manner. Patrick holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Columbia University and is an inventor of multiple patents.
