Patrick is managing director for Cambly. Before Cambly, he worked for Samsung Electronics as VP Product and HYPE, co-founded international expansion consulting firm, Hype.
Prior to HYPE, he led Airbnb in Korea as General Manager for 4 years, driving hyper-growth in both inbound and outbound travel in one of the world’s most heavily regulated
markets. Prior to Airbnb, Patrick was with Google for 8 years as Korea’s Head of SMB Development. As a founding member of the Korean team at Google, he oversaw the hyper-growth of Youtube and advertising businesses. At the start of his career, Patrick worked for EMC as a strategic alliance manager for storage-as-a service (early concept of cloud computing), and with Accenture, as an energy consultant.
He holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Commerce from Carnegie Mellon University and Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with specialized major on Superconductor from Yonsei University in Korea.
