Patrick Crowley joined OMERS in December 2006 and brings a solid combination of strategic, financial and operational leadership skills to the organization. He has a strong background with complex, conglomerate organizations that operate internationally.
From 2006 to 2013, Crowley served as OMERS Chief Financial Officer, prior to the appointment
to the role of Chief Operating Officer. He assumed his current duty as Chief Strategy Officer in September 2014. In this role, he will focus on several key priorities requiring high-level executive oversight. These include: continuing his leadership role in the integration of the OMERS AC and SC strategic plans; serving as executive sponsor of the modernization of the organization’s pension systems; serving as Chair of the Transaction Approval Committee (TAC); and as a Global Strategic Investment Alliance (GSIA) board member.
Prior to joining OMERS, Crowley was CFO of ATI Technologies Inc. Before that, he was CFO at Canada Life Financial Corporation, Molson Inc., Abitibi Consolidated Inc., and Everfresh Beverages Inc.
Mr. Crowley is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business and is a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
In 2005, he completed the Directors Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Rotman School of Management and holds the designation of ICD.D.
