Native Alabamian, Patrick Tapia, MD, graduated with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his medical degree from and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Tapia treats both children and adults with eating disorders, co-occurring mental conditions such as
depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, among other illnesses. In his free time, Dr. Tapia enjoys spending time with his family who are also in the Birmingham area.
