He received his MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from University Politician de Madrid and his PhD from UC3M. He is currently professor at UC3M. He has more than 20 years of expertise in system design for optoelectronic instrumentation, study and characterization of semiconductor laser sources and generation of microwave and millimetre signal
generation. He has participated and leaded several European and Spanish research projects, as well as research contracts with large companies and SMEs.
Currently, his interests include the development of photonic tunable local oscillators with low phase noise, photonic receivers in the mm-wave and THz bands.
