Ori Schnaps is the Engineering Director at Meta. He previously worked as the Vice President of Engineering at ZocDoc, where he fosters collaboration among his team of designers and engineers to build quality products for the digital health marketplace.
Ori has more than a decade of experience developing elegant solutions to complex business
problems. Before ZocDoc, he served as the Global Head of Technology at Thompson Reuters, where he oversaw a 350 person team to build a next generation product for a $1B investment and advisory market.
Prior, Ori co-founded Thrive, a company dedicated to helping people in their 20s and 30s gain control of their financial life. As Chief Technology Officer, he managed the technical, product, and design processes. Within 24 months of raising capital and building the product, Ori and his team sold their company to Tree.com, where Ori then managed the development of new products using the Thrive platform.
Ori has worked at companies including Goldman Sachs; Pronto, Inc., a comparison shopping engine; TSYS Prepaid.com card solution built on the VISA backbone; and Bluewave USA, an interactive agency based in New York City.
Ori earned a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Hofstra University. Born in Israel, he currently resides in New York City with his wife Anne, their twin daughters, and their cats Cheddar and Queso Bandito.
