Oran Dror acquired vast experience in senior management and executive board director positions in large public companies, public academia, start-ups in Israel and internationally.
He founded his first internet software start-up and successfully sold it in 2001 to Malam Systems, one of Israel’s largest IT companies. He worked at Malam Systems as
VP Products during his earnout period at Malam Systems. He then spent over 10 years in senior sales, partnerships and marketing positions at Microsoft Israel and Microsoft International, leading sales teams with over $2.5B yearly business. During 2005 till 2011, as Israel Sales Director, led all corporate and commercial sales of Microsoft to enterprise and public sector clients in Israel, growing the software business from $50M to $150M annually. From 2011 till 2014 he was on the leadership team of Microsoft Middle East and Africa managing Microsoft sales and channels in over 80 countries.
Since 2014, Oran Dror serves on the board of Azrieli Group(TLV:AZRG), Israel's largest real-estate company with market cap of over $6B since 2014. He is an independent board member with accounting and financial expertise.
He holds a bachelor degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in Economics and Far Asian Studies, majoring Japan. Oran also spent two years as a research student at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan at graduate school of commerce.
Oran Dror joined Axilion as a CEO& CO-Founder in 2017 to take it globally through an AI transformation of the technology, and leveraging the advanced proven technological capabilities of the software in 100’s of signalized intersections in Israel and Europe. He is passionate about solving one of the world’s biggest challenges around traffic congestion and and optimization of traffic flow as cities need to become smarter and enable car connected and AV technologies. He brings his global experience to Axilion so it can scale and leverage its 9 years leadership in the Israeli Smart Mobility domain.
