As a Principal Data Scientist at Booking.com, Onno Zoeter is responsible for using data to drive product decisions and create the best possible customer experience at Booking.com. Prior to joining Booking.com, Onno was a senior scientist at Xerox's European Research Lab where he led the research on demand management. The biggest deployment of
this research is in Merge™; Xerox's (now Conduent's) demand management system for on-street parking which is deployed in Los Angeles and Washington DC. Onno also worked at Microsoft research Cambridge where he worked on large scale click-through rate prediction models.
Onno holds a BSc (Cum Laude) and MSc (Cum Laude) in Computer Science from Utrecht University and a PhD from the Foundation for Neural Networks. His work received numerous awards among them the Xerox Innovator of the Year award, OECD International Transport Forum's Innovation Award and the International Parking Institute's Award of Excellence. Fortune selected him among their 20 Big Data AllStars in 2014.
