Nirupa Bareja is the director at Vicus Therapeutics. Nirupa Bareja is a Ph.D. in Biological sciences. She received a CSIR fellowship for her doctoral research, and was also offered the Rhodes Scholarship from the University of Oxford for her post doctoral research. She has several publications in reputed journals.
She is a veteran of the Biocon
Group for 15+ years. Her unique skills enabled her to excel at multiple functions in the company, brought her awards and recognitions like "Outstanding Contribution Award" for several years, in multiple areas, helped the company achieve key quality systems accreditations including ISO, FDA, CAP, etc. She has also introduced the HR systems and processes for the company.
After her tenure at Biocon, she decided to contribute to the community in individual capacity.
She currently heads the India operations for Vicus Therapeutics, a US based Biotech company. She also contributes to the area of 'cancer care' as the honorary Chief Program Director – Corporate outreach at the Mazumdar Shaw Medical Foundation, Bangalore.
