Dr. Liachenko co-founded Compellon and is Chief Scientist responsible for the company’s core analytics technology.
Prior to Compellon, Dr. Liachenko spent 3 years as the Chief Scientist for iGentx, a biometrics startup company.
Dr. Liachenko founded Knowledge Extraction Tools, where he worked for 8 years on large complex data analysis
projects for leading companies including General Electric, Hitachi and the World Health Organization. He was also a senior software engineer in data analysis, leading companies MEDecision and Metadata, as well as a visiting professor at George Mason University.
Prior to 1992, he was a professor of mathematics at the Electrical Engineering Institute and at the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (currently the State Technical University of St. Petersburg).
He also worked as a Senior Scientist and later as the Chief of The Information Processing Laboratory at the Institute of Informatics for The Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Lianchenko received his Ph.D. and Post-doctorate degrees in mathematics from the University of St. Petersburg, Russia with specialties in software and knowledge engineering, data analysis, algorithmic design and the development of Artificial Intelligence systems.
He has written over 70 publications and holds 25 foreign patents and 2 pending US patents. Dr. Liachenko is also 1 of only 12 life-time members of the Academy of Engineering Innovations located in St. Petersburg, Russia and is a member of the IEEE and AAAI societies in the United States.
