As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Steep Hill, Mr. Stobart runs the day-to-day business and financial operations of the company.
Mr. Stobart began his career as an attorney with leading law firms in Melbourne, Australia (Ashursts, f/k/a Blake Dawson Waldron) and in London, England (Allen & Overy),
practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and transactional banking law. He previously served as a management consultant at Bain & Company and in various senior and executive-level positions at a number of turn-around situations in portfolio companies of the Gores Group, a leading private equity firm based in Los Angeles. Mr. Stobart’s prior roles have included Chief Operating Officer at Wire One Communications and Vice President of Sales at Stock Building Supply.
Mr. Stobart holds Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws (equivalent to JD) degrees from Monash University, Australia, and an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago.
