Nigel Pitt received a B.Sc degree in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 1995 and completed a Ph.D in Peptide Chemistry from the University of St Andrews with Prof. David Gani (2000) where he developed novel peptidomimetic b-turn scaffolds. In 2001, Nigel joined Prof. Paul Murphy at University College Dublin as a Bioresearch
Ireland Research Fellow at University College Dublin before joining IPSEN in 2004 where he is currently a Senior Chemical and Process Development Chemist at IPSEN (Ireland). His activities are focussed on the development and optimisation of oligopeptide manufacturing processes utilising solid and solution phase peptide synthesis techniques.
