Dr. Rizzo has been in private practice for the last ten years as a general surgeon, and is the owner and Director of Medicine of Southwest Surgery.
He has served as Chief Resident at Saint John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit and on numerous quality assurance and efficiency committees.
Dr. Rizzo is a Fellow of the American College of
Surgeons, a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, and belongs to the American Society of Breast Disease, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, and the American Hernia Society.
He has also served on the executive committee for the Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Dr. Rizzo received both his bachelor’s degree in physiology and medical degree from Michigan State University.
