Nancy Abrolat is an employment law attorney based in Los Angeles, California, and the founder and president of Abrolat Law. Since founding her firm in 1995, Nancy has dedicated her career to representing employees in cases related to workplace rights, whistleblower protection, and class actions. Her legal work has led to multimillion-dollar

settlements and policy changes that have positively impacted the working conditions of her clients.

Nancy’s academic journey began at the University of the Pacific, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English with honors. She continued her education at the University of California’s Hastings College of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 1990. These academic accomplishments were the foundation for her legal career, demonstrating her commitment to excellence and attention to detail.

After law school, Nancy began her career at Paul Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, a well-regarded law firm in Los Angeles. While there, she worked with major corporations, including several Fortune 500 companies. Her responsibilities included representing clients in civil litigation, advising on human resources matters, and drafting complex legal documents. This experience gave Nancy a deep understanding of the corporate side of employment law, which would later influence her decision to shift her focus toward representing employees.

In 1995, Nancy founded Abrolat Law, choosing to represent employees rather than corporations. She used her experience working with large companies to help employees facing discrimination, retaliation, or unfair treatment in the workplace. Her firm’s success over the years is a testament to her advocacy, with numerous favorable outcomes for clients, including substantial financial settlements and lasting changes in workplace practices.

Nancy’s expertise spans various areas of employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower protection, and class actions. One of her notable cases involved representing three FedEx employees who faced retaliation after raising concerns about safety standards. The case resulted in an $8 million verdict and significant changes to FedEx’s maintenance policies, underscoring Nancy’s commitment to justice and improving workplace conditions.

Nancy Abrolat is an active California Employment Law Association member and the Los Angeles Consumer Attorneys Association member. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys watching women’s sports, which reflects her respect for teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
