Mohan Wikramanayake is a specialist in project financing, restructuring and loan recovery. This work entails detailed assessments (with technical experts as appropriate) of the rationale for a project, including sponsor, market, technical and management, financial and legal arrangements. He has extensive experience in working with small and
medium-scale enterprises. He worked for 21 years for the International Finance Corporation ( the World Bank Group’s private sector arm), in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives; and sub-Saharan Africa. He served as Resident Representative, IFC, in India and Nigeria, and has significant work experience in East and Southern Africa. In late 2005 Mohan Wikramanayake led a mission for the United States Trade Development Agency to assess the operations and technology requirements of the Stock Exchanges in Ghana and Nigeria. Annually he teaches a class on international financial institutions at Ursinus College, Pennsylvania, USA. Mohan Wikramanayake has also made a presentation on the same subject to the Model United Nations. More recently, he was lead consultant for the development and delivery of a course on Margin Trading for the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria.
