Professor Munasinghe is recognised for his global contributions to climate change and sustainable development research and policy, including sharing the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, as Vice Chair of IPCC. His work has contributed directly to both the two major global agreements of 2015: UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Climate
Agreement.
