Dr. Zakin is a visionary chemist and innovator with 25 years of experience in R&D for defense and medical needs. He leads Nano Terra's Government operations, including the establishment and oversight of Nano Terra's interdisciplinary Innovation Network.
Prior to joining Nano Terra, Dr. Zakin was a Program Manager at DARPA (the
Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.) At DARPA, Dr. Zakin created and managed a $100M+ project portfolio of groundbreaking inventions, built on the core concept of InfoChemistry, the fusion of information technology and material science. Prior to DARPA, Dr. Zakin established the Life Sciences business area at Physical Sciences, Inc.
Dr. Zakin received a PhD and AM in Physical Chemistry from Harvard University, and a BS in Chemistry from the City College of New York. Dr. Zakin holds 4 U.S. patents, has authored 30 peer-reviewed articles, and is a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Physical Society.
