Mitchell Habib is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at FCM, a full-service consulting firm where he leads client engagements and company strategy. FCM helps the world’s largest private equity companies accelerate value creation in their portfolio businesses by driving productivity in information technology, engineering and operations. The
firm’s unique approach employs proven senior leaders who bring their C-level experience to portfolio companies as full-time executives on loan, directly accountable for business outcomes.
Mitchell a results-driven senior executive accomplished in aligning global organizations with a strategic vision to realize revenue and margin growth. Mitchell has led organizational transformation, operations management and information technology at prominent global firms spanning multiple industries during his 25-year career, including General Electric, Citigroup and Nielsen.
Prior to launching FCM, Mitchell served as Chief Operating Officer for Nielsen, where he headed a global organization of 40,000 people in more than 100 countries. He worked with industry-leading advertising, media and consumer packaged goods companies to deliver innovative technology solutions that provided unparalleled consumer insights. Mitchell also led Nielsen’s organizational transformation, taking advantage of the company’s scale to deliver improved quality for customers, innovation for the marketplace and more than $2 billion in cash savings – a 3x return on the investment for its private equity investors.
During his career at Citigroup, Mitchell was promoted from Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the US Credit Card division to CIO for the US Retail division, based on his team’s excellent performance and impact on the business. Before that, he served as CIO for General Electric’s two largest Capital divisions and two of its biggest Industrial businesses.
Mitchell serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, digital video advertising company YuMe and technology services provider Pactera.
Mitchell holds a Masters of Public Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Florida, where he is recognized as an Alumnus of Distinction in the College of Journalism and Communications. Mitchell has earned certificates from General Electric’s Quality Leader Program, Harvard University’s Private/Public Responsibility Program and the Leadership at the Peak program at the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs.
