Mitchell Blutt, MD is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Consonance Capital Partners and CEO of Consonance Capital and Consonance Capital Management. Prior to founding Consonance Capital, he was Executive Partner at JPMP from 1992 until 2004. In addition to his general management responsibilities across JPMP, Dr. Blutt founded and led the
Healthcare Group for nearly 18 years. He was one of the earliest employees at Chemical Venture Partners, the predecessor to JPMP, joining in 1987. Dr. Blutt has served or currently serves on numerous boards, including ASC Network, Cardinal Health, Cooper Holding, DJO, Fisher Scientific, General Medical, Hanger Orthopedic Group, Medical Arts Press, Tenax, Thermoscan, and Whitmire Distribution.
Dr. Blutt served on the Board of Trustees of Penn Medicine, the Health System of the University of Pennsylvania from 2002 to 2012, the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania from 1998 to 2008, the Board of Trustees of the Brearley School, and the Board of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Dr. Blutt is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and is on the New York Weill Cornell Council and the Dean’s Council of the Weill Cornell Medical College. He holds BA, MD, and MBA degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.
