Mitch Eisman is Director of Human Resources at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and brings a deep commitment and connection to the mission-driven non-profit sector. Eisman has more than 15 years of progressively responsible human resources leadership experience, including 10 years as a people manager and seven years in
complex non-profit, research and policy organizations such as AARP and Independent Sector.
In his role as the Director of Human Resources, Eisman works in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for driving the mission/vision of PCORI through operational excellence, program management, and talent/leadership development to align organization and talent strategies and human resources programs to help PCORI successfully achieve the organization’s priorities.
Previously, Eisman served as the Senior Director of Human Resources at Independent Sector, the leadership forum for charities, foundations, and corporate giving programs committed to advancing the common good in America and around the world. Prior to that, Eisman was the Senior Manager of Human Resources Service Delivery at AARP, a non-profit, nonpartisan organization, with a membership of more than 37 million, that helps people 50 and older have independence, choice, and control in ways that are beneficial to them and society as a whole.
Eisman demonstrates strategic and hands-on experience in all facets of human resources, including talent acquisition, organizational change, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employee relations. He offers expert knowledge of employment law and has extensive experience in interpretation and application to a diverse range of staff members.
