Dr. Misha Malyshev is the founder and CEO of Teza Technologies, which he established in 2009.
Malyshev earned an M.S. degree in Theoretical Physics and a B.S. degree in Physics and Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He then achieved a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Princeton University in 1998. He worked for Bell Labs until
2000 and as a consultant with McKinsey & Company before working for the next six years in high frequency trading.
Misha Malyshev is involved in philanthropic activities that focus on education. He joined buildOn in 2013 and serves on the global leadership council. He is on the board of directors of After-School All-Stars and the advisory board of After School Matters. Malyshev also supports the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, America’s first planetarium. He and Adler work to encourage underprivileged youth and girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
