Mirela Rupic is a famous costume and fashion designer with high attention-to-detail and quality. Her collections are described as feminine, effortless, and whimsical, with use of pastel colors, culture-inspired motifs and a diverse mix of prints.
Rupic was born on March 21, 1967 in Fullerton, Orange County, California, but later moved to San
Diego in order to pursue her passion for design. There she enrolled at the Woodbury University and graduated with a Bachelor in Art and Design. At the same time she enrolled herself at the RISD school of design.
Mirela’s philosophy has always been to create something that she herself would wear, because for her designs should be affordable and comfortable, otherwise it’s not worth it. So her first project, which was a part of an annual fashion event, Rupic embodied imaginative yet practical clothing for everyday wear. Her work often features designs inspired by traditional wear and frequently mixes fabrics and patterns.
Some of her imaginative creations, such as her cloud like bags, have become a signature look for Mirela Rupic. Today this talented costume designer is regularly included in established fashion events, as she continues to inspire people everywhere with her reasonably priced creations.
