Miles is a Partner in the PE team responsible for sourcing, executing and managing Connection Capital’s private equity transactions alongside Bernard Dale, Pascal Wittet and Luke Matthews. Miles currently represents Connection Capital on the boards of ACT, The Light Cinemas and Virgin Wines.
Miles is an experienced private equity professional who
has focused on the UK lower & mid markets throughout his career, both in an advisory capacity and in private equity roles.
Miles began his career in strategic advisory with The Parthenon Group, working on due diligence and strategy projects for PE, corporate and government clients. He then joined NBGI Private Equity, working on a number of completed deals from NBGI’s second UK fund before leaving to study an MBA at London Business School. Alongside his MBA studies Miles also conducted independent consulting roles with SPIE, a European mechanical engineering business and Bridges Ventures, a UK early stage social investor. Subsequent to the MBA Miles held an interim investment role with Bowmark Capital before joining Connection Capital in 2012.
Miles holds BA Hons in both History and Management Studies from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from London Business School.
