His personal executive search experience has focused heavily on Vice President and ‘C’ level placements for pre-public enterprise software and telecom companies on the East Coast and in Silicon Valley. Previously, Mr. Ahearn was a Managing Director at Conley & Company. Prior to joining Conley & Company, he was a Partner at Charles River Ventures. Before Greylock, Mr. Ahearn served as the Recruiting and Human Resources Partner at a major venture capital firm, where he handled over 50 executive searches, several Chief Executive Officer coaching and Board-level human resources consulting assignments per year, also on both coasts. Prior to that role, Mr. Ahearn was Intuit’s first Vice President of Human Resources, helping to guide the firm’s growth from 200 to over 3500 employees and from under $100 million to over $600 million in revenue. Previously, he served as the Head of Staffing and Head of Human Resources Apple USA during similar periods of rapid growth. Earlier, Mr. Ahearn held the role of worldwide Head of Human Resources for the petroleum and mining divisions of Norton Company. He has served on the Board of Directors or Advisory Boards of several private companies and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Ahearn holds an M.B.A. degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Boston College and a B.A. degree in Economics from Amherst College.
