Michelle is the CEO and Co-Founder of Sugar, a fintech startup that provides AI-driven solutions tailored for digital businesses with the aim to tackle transaction frictions and uncertainties through our predictive models which enable businesses to provide brand-new ‘guaranteed’ services to their customers. Michelle’s career in the insurance
industry started at AIA as an analyst before moving onto Manulife where she successfully set up the first life insurance company in Cambodia. Her journey has taken her through Hong Kong, Cambodia, Myanmar, Taiwan and Thailand. Prior to starting Sugar, Michelle was a founding member of iFWD, the no. 1 digital insurer in Hong Kong since 2015. Michelle holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Michelle enjoys stepping out her comfort zone and believes something great will always happen when you least expect it. She loves art and music and has recently picked up boxing.
